He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Russel Lapinsky Jr.and great grandson, Judson Hampton Langley. The whereabouts of his half-brother, William F. Davis II is unknown.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 16, 2018 at Joy Church  in Matthews, NC. where his loyal friend, Ralph Serrapica will officiate. Interment will follow at Corinth Baptist Church in Monroe, NC where a private graveside ceremony will be held.
